The Hosokawa Micron Angle Disintegrator offers the intense grinding and processing of wet and dry products and can automatically separate and reject non friable material through the optional secondary discharge.
The high-performance Angle Disintegrator from Hosokawa Micron is a versatile and self-contained machine capable of deftly handling no fewer than five separate processes. Ideal for the food industry, the equipment meets the increasing demand to process exotic flavours, spices and fruits and can effortlessly perform tasks such as pulping, blending and fine or course puréeing of hot, cold, wet, soaked and dry ingredients to leave a very high-quality end product. Foodstuffs such as garlic, ginger, chilli, peppers, tomatoes, onions, vanilla pods, oranges and meat can be handled by the Angle Disintegrator, which – via an optional secondary outlet – can also remove unwanted fibre, skin, pips and seeds as it operates. Continuous mixing and blending can be achieved effectively and quickly, while the user-friendly design allows for fast product changeovers without cross contamination.
For hard-to-grind and impure materials, the Hosokawa Micron Vertical Disintegrator (RD model) would be a better option.
Available in two models – encompassing a range of rotor and screen sizes, speeds and powers – the Hosokawa Micron Angle Disintegrator can be manufactured from a range of steels, stainless steels or duplex grades suitable for many applications. It is particularly suited to food production, but chemical and pharmaceutical processing (including cryogenic milling) can be achieved using specially adapted versions.
The Angle Disintegrator may be integrated into complex process systems. The three RA versions feature a V-belt drive and can be single or dual discharge, while the five RP versions are equipped with a direct drive and single discharge.
Used by some of the world’s best-known food manufacturers, the Angle Disintegrator’s capabilities include size reduction, blending, dry pulverising, dispersing and wet grinding of a wide range of ingredients (particularly fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, herbs and spices) to make products such as soup, purées, sauces, spices, baby food, juices and dressings. The Angle Disintegrator can also process sea salt crystals for condiments and snack food, create vanilla powder for food use and process crouton-based dusting powder to coat food.
The Hosokawa Micron Angle Disintegrator is popular within the chemicals industry, with proven success processing materials such as Aramid fibre, PTFE and polyurethane foam.
Hosokawa Micron’s Angle Disintegrator is capable of grinding a variety of raw materials into homogenous fine or course end products, including pastes, sauces and purées.
Raw material is introduced into the top of the Angle Disintegrator and subjected to repeated impact and attritional forces from the rotating hammers. Centrifugal force moves the material through the 360˚ perforated screen and the processed end product is then discharged from the bottom of the machine, where it can then be collected.
RA models feature a belt drive and separate drive motor and can be structured to discharge impure materials from a secondary outlet if required, while the RP models have a direct motor drive and are configured for single discharge only.
The Angle Disintegrator’s simple, yet innovative design means that it can be cleaned easily and quickly, allowing for speedy raw material exchange. The easily changed perforated screens ensure a continuous product flow with uniform results, maintaining a low temperature rise and reduced power, helping to make the Angle Disintegrator’s operation very energy efficient.
Hosokawa Micron Ltd has decades of sterile and non-sterile process system expertise, spanning a wide variety of industries, and would be delighted to quote for an efficient turnkey process system that showcases a range of equipment and technology from the Hosokawa product portfolio.
Components of the process system could include a bulk bag unloading and transfer station, sifters and screening devices, vacuum transfer, control systems and the electronics, but there are many more equipment options and add-ons available, including single or dual discharge, as well as hygienic systems to complement the hygienic standard design of the Hosokawa Micron Angle Disintegrator, which is perfect for food processing.
For customers with equipment from alternative suppliers, the versatile Angle Disintegrator by Hosokawa Micron Ltd can be sold as a standalone piece of equipment, which can easily be integrated into an existing or new process system created from non-Hosokawa-branded equipment.
Process systems from Hosokawa Micron can now also incorporate the latest digitalisation software for important production activities such as real-time remote monitoring. Our digital solutions service, provided by our dedicated in-house digital strategy team, offers process solutions, plant optimisation and modelling, as well as remote monitoring capability via our unique Hosokawa Gen4 intelligent software, created in collaboration with specially chosen cutting-edge technology partners.
