Chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers have the chance to pick up practical tips and learn how even small steps towards digitalisation can make potentially massive efficiencies and improvements in their business, by attending Process Industries Made Smarter, organised by Siemens UK.
Process Industries Made Smarter will be held in Birmingham, 13th March 2018 and give chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers chance to hear from process industry pioneers explaining how they can best compete in a digital era and potentially improve time to market, flexibility and productivity in their operations.
The event follows on from the government’s Made Smarter review, which outlined how, over the next 10 years UK manufacturing could be boosted by £455bn and features two separate chemical and pharmaceutical industry programmes, each with a host of industry specialist speakers.
A speaker on the event programme for the chemical industry, Iain Crosley, MD, Hosokawa Micron Ltd says ‘As a contributor to the government’s digital review, and with over 100 year experience in the development and manufacture of pioneering chemical processing technologies, Hosokawa Micron Ltd is keen to support chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers on their smart manufacturing journey. We are happy to share details of our own digital journey and have recently launched a new business unit, Hosokawa Gen4, to support companies within the process sector to develop their own digital strategy and realise the potential of IIoT technologies.
