The Hosokawa Micron Pre-Breaker is a robust and versatile machine designed for coarse size reduction tasks across a wide range of materials and industries. Ideal for light to heavy-duty pre-crushing applications, it provides effective cutting and shearing of both soft and tough raw materials — including those prone to crumbling or difficult to process, such as seaweed, insulation board, and wood.
Often used as a first-stage solution before fine micronising, the Pre-Breaker is trusted across sectors like pharmaceuticals, animal feed, cosmetics, and recycling. It is not suitable for processing metal or long fibre materials such as ropes.
