Ergonomic Assessment

In Containment, It’s Not One Size Fits All

Every piece of containment equipment we design starts with a question suppliers rarely ask: Can the person using it actually work comfortably, safely, and accurately every day?

Before any piece of equipment is finalised, we assess reach, visibility, and operator posture using the real people who will be working with the equipment. The result is containment that’s not only compliant on paper, but usable shift after shift.

Why Do Ergonomics Matter in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing?

Ergonomically designed equipment keeps operators safe, whatever the sector.

Operators interact with containment equipment every day, and ensuring that they safely perform their job is vital in reducing bottlenecks, operator errors, and downstream complications.

Our ergonomic containment assessments enable plants to identify real-world workflow requirements, overlooked tools, and any missing details before they become a problem.

cGMP Compliant Containment

We build standard and custom equipment designed to meet stringent regulations.

Operator Fatigue & Safety

Containment equipment is designed to support day-to-day operator safety.

Process Integration

We bring seamless integration into any existing processes.

Shift Performance

Designed for operators with efficiency in mind.

How the Hosokawa Micron Ltd. Assessment Works

Our expert Hosokawa Micron Ltd. team works with your operators to design custom human-centric equipment that reduces operator fatigue and bottlenecks, whilst improving efficiency.

Initial Consultation & Operator Measurement

Starting with an engineering review meeting, our team will take into account your specifications while observing your working environment and taking measurements of operators. Using these insights, we create a wooden mock-up based on the proposed equipment dimensions.

Mock-Up & Dimensional Review

Once mock-ups have been created, a dimensional review will take place to assess operator comfort, safety, and efficiency, and any issues can be amended.

Simulation & Access Checks

Our team will observe operators during daily tasks, ensuring that custom equipment is positioned correctly to reduce the risk of accidents and bottlenecks.

Visual Interface Checks

Our team reviews the equipment placement to ensure visibility through windows, gauge positions, lighting, and more.

Final Positions & Sign-Off

Once the pharma cGMP-compliant containment equipment has been adjusted to suit operators and all agreed actions are confirmed, the ergonomic assessment is completed.

What Our Customers Say

“Involving operators early on in the process for our Downflow Booth project was key. It allowed for broad support, secured commitment, and helped to drive project ownership.”
